Payment delivery verification and recovery
An AI assistant pays to store a photograph, receives the wrong file and recovers the original for comparison before the task is accepted.

Checking the delivery after payment
The storage example used Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) with settlement on Tempo. One download returned 66 bytes of ASCII text instead of a JPEG. Another was damaged.
Recovery took six attempted paths, multiple paid transactions and tool changes. Comparing the recovered original with the starting file supplied the completion check that payment confirmation could not.
Discovery, approval and checkout
MPP Services and x402 Bazaar help find APIs, while the service request supplies the final price and terms. Discovery, customer authority, wallet limits and settlement were treated separately.
The talk compared checkout inside Qwen with Taobao Instant Commerce and Alipay AI Pay against the earlier merchant handoff in Shopee and Shopify. The commerce platform remains the system of record for the purchase.
Scope
The proposed recovery policy uses a task budget for storage, retrieval, retries and verification, stopping at the limit. It checks uncertain payment status before retrying, returns changed terms for approval and seeks correction or refund for a wrong result.
